Biography:
Scott Stanford has been focused on the technology sector for over 25 years as an advisor, operator, and investor. Prior to founding ACME in 2018, he was a co-founder of Sherpa Capital and Silicon Foundry, a corporate innovation advisory firm.
Scott spent 12 years co-heading Goldman Sachs’s Global Internet Investment Banking business in San Francisco, advising clients on over $80 billion of equity and debt financings and strategic transactions. During that time, he worked closely with many of the world’s leading technology companies, including Facebook, Google, Airbnb, Zillow, Palantir, Square, and LinkedIn.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Scott was an early employee at LookSmart, helping grow the company from a startup into a publicly traded NASDAQ company. While earning his MBA, he coded prototype applications for two startup ideas, and earlier in his career worked as a Financial Analyst in Goldman Sachs’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications group.
Scott brings deep enterprise connectivity and adoption insight to founders, helping teams build the right relationships and understand how large organizations evaluate, adopt, and scale new technologies.
Scott grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. An early technologist, he taught himself to code at age 13 and has built many software and robotics systems since. Scott received his A.B. with Honors from Harvard College (Social Studies) and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
